Mountain Climbing

These are the things that we have been doing this week and then I will explain all of them.
1. Climbed a mountain
2. Helped an Indian family find a house to live in.
3. Working on testifying.
On p-day last week we went to a place called Tsaghkadzor. It is the only ski resort in all of
Armenia and we went to ride the ski lift up and just see some of the views. So we rode it up
and then decided to hike the rest of the mountain up to the top. There was only one lift on
and 2 of them were off. It was one of the most beautiful hikes that I have been on in a very
long time and I am so grateful that the summer has come and that I am able to do these
types of things. On that hike we hiked up about 2500 feet after the lift brought us 1000
feet up. It was a pretty hard hike considering we were hiking a ski mountain. Just taught me
that we have to push through until the end. It will be hard, but no one said it would be easy
to make it to the celestial kingdom. We all have to work and work at it everyday and then
we still won't reach the top. Just don't get discouraged keep working and the Lord will carry
us up the mountain.

So this Indian family we meet on the street when they were looking all distressed and not
knowing what they should do. It turned out that they had a house lined up and were ready
to live there when the owner of the house lied to them and took their money so on May 29th
they only had 2 more days to live in their house and no place to live. This week we have been
helping them with translations and with stuff like that hoping that everything would work out
for them. A lot of prayers were said for this family. In the end everything worked out and we
were able to talk to them about the gospel yesterday. It was very different teaching someone
in English and without a big knowledge of who Jesus Christ was and what he did for us. They
are so nice and I love them already. Although it was a lot of work that we had to do for them
to help them find the house, I feel like it was worth it because it showed that we cared about
them and helped them to trust what we have to say.
This week we have also been working on testifying to people. My companion Elder Bergeson,
gave a super good district meeting and helped me to realize that I was not testifying as much
as I should have been. Never underestimate the power of a testimony. It really can change
someone's life and bring them to a knowledge that they never knew before.
I love you all so much and I know with all my heart that this is the true church. I know that the
Book of Mormon is the word of God and that the Lord is speaking to us today through a
prophet today. Have an amazing week!
Elder Sproul
